Getting to River Cree without a car
No rapid transit line reaches River Cree. Without a car, the most practical route is the resort's free shuttle from West Edmonton Mall. A local ETS bus and a taxi are the other options.

The short answer
River Cree Resort & Casino sits at 300 East Lapotac Blvd, Enoch, on the west edge of Edmonton. It is near Whitemud Drive and Winterburn Road.
There are three ways in without driving:
- Free resort shuttle from West Edmonton Mall. This is usually the most practical.
- ETS local route 916, then a walk.
- Taxi or rideshare, booked on your own.
If you are driving after all, see the drive from Edmonton.
The free shuttle from West Edmonton Mall
The resort runs a complimentary shuttle to and from West Edmonton Mall for its guests and staff. The venue says it runs every 30 minutes.
The venue does not post the full timetable online. For the schedule, it says to call the Casino Players Club at 780-930-2562. Call before you set out, and ask where the shuttle stops at the mall.
From downtown, the first leg is an ETS bus to West Edmonton Mall Transit Centre. The shuttle covers the rest of the way.
ETS route 916
ETS does not run a bus to the resort's door. The closest regular service is local route 916 (West Edmonton Mall – Lewis Farms), which runs along Granville Drive.
From the nearest stop on Granville Drive, it is a walk to the resort. Neither ETS nor the venue publishes the walking distance. Check the route on the ETS route 916 schedule and map before relying on it, especially in winter or after dark.
The way back at night
The return trip is the part to plan. The casino floor and slots are open 24 hours a day. Table games run from 11:00 am to 3:00 am. The venue publishes the poker room hours on its site.
The shuttle and ETS buses keep their own schedules, not the casino's. Before you go:
- Ask the shuttle line when the last run back to West Edmonton Mall leaves.
- Check the last route 916 trip and your connection home from the mall.
- If either is too early, arrange a taxi, a ride, or a room. See staying overnight.
Decide on a time and a budget before you leave home, and stick to both. For a confidential conversation, call or text 211, or call the Addiction Helpline (Recovery Alberta) at 1-866-332-2322, 24/7. There is more on help and limits.
From the airport
The venue says the resort is about 25 minutes from Edmonton International Airport. The official site does not list an airport shuttle. If you are booked at the hotel, ask the resort directly about getting there from the airport.
More on the resort itself is on the River Cree page. Sources for this page are listed under where the facts come from.
