Getting in

The legal gambling age in Alberta is 18. Under AGLC casino rules, staff must check valid government-issued photo ID for anyone who appears to be under 25. People who cannot show they are 18 or older are refused entry. Bring photo ID whatever your age.

Larger amounts also need ID. Cash buy-ins, bets or payouts of $10,000 or more in one gaming day require government photo ID. Provincial health cards are not accepted for this.

No dress code has been published.

Smoking is split by area. The main casino floor is smoke-free. Embers, near the north entrance, is a smoke-friendly gaming area. The High Limit Table Games room is also smoke-friendly, and the poker room has an enclosed smoke room. Hotel rooms are non-smoking.

On the floor

The official slots page lists 1,665 slot machines in total, across the main floor and Embers. The main floor also has electronic roulette, electronic blackjack and 10 VLTs.

The table games are split across three areas:

  • Main floor: blackjack, roulette, Ultimate Texas Hold'em, Three Card Poker, Chase the Flush and craps.
  • High Limit room: blackjack and baccarat.
  • Embers: blackjack, roulette, Ultimate Texas Hold'em, Three Card Poker, Chase the Flush and baccarat.

The poker room is just off the smoke-free main floor. It runs Texas Hold'em cash games and daily and weekly tournaments. The table games page lists what is currently offered.

A GameSense Info Centre is located in every Alberta casino, with information on games, odds and house edge.

Players Club and Winner's Edge

Two loyalty programs run here. Both are free and optional.

River Cree Players Club is the resort's own program. Bring valid government photo ID to the Players Club desk, and you can join the same day. Points come from a daily kiosk swipe and from spending at the restaurants, the gift shop and the hotel. They convert to River Cree Bucks, which can be used at the hotel, restaurants and gift shop. Members also get a hotel discount and pre-sale codes for shows. See the Players Club page.

Winner's Edge is AGLC's province-wide program. You can sign up online, at a kiosk or at Guest Services. To collect the card, show government ID at Guest Services. Members get 10% off select food and non-alcoholic drinks at Alberta casinos. People enrolled in self-exclusion are not eligible. Details are at winnersedge.ca.

Food

The official dining menu lists:
